1. What draws me to become a teacher is being able to help others. I am looking forward to expanding my future students thought processes and challenge their preconceived notions about what they think history is and why we need to study it.
2. My dream teaching job would be teaching any of the social sciences including history, humanities, geography, political science, psychology or sociology.
3. Learning and teaching in a classroom should be many things. There is more than one way to teach and more than one way to learn and I hope to be able to interest my students by changing things up often. Combining many different ways of teaching to target different learning styles is something I will strive for. I will set up my classroom to increase communication because social studies is all about society and if we can not share out ideas with each other than we really do not have a great society.
4. I would hope that my future students are doing many things in the classroom while learning. I plan to have hands on activities so that the students feel a part of creating there education. I will have group discussions and group debates, skits and all sorts of interactive learning to engage the students and make social studies come alive.
5. I will use technology often in my classroom, showing moving clips, using power point slides, and of coarse having the students use computers to look up, report and create their information.
6. My confidence level with technology is I would say and 8 out of 10. I have confidence that I can do it although it may take me longer but I am not affraid to try new things and research how to do them.

My answers to the above questions have pretty much remained the same except for answers for 5 and 6. As a result of this class I have acquired many new tools to use in the classroom that I really did not know existed. If I did know of them I figured you had to have some fancy computer or be a computer programmer in order to do most of them. I am so excited when I accomplish a task on our task lists. At first they seem daunting but as soon as I finish it I am already thinking of how I can use it in the classroom. I see my daughter who is in high school use her Chrome Book every night for homework but she is not doing anything interactive on it. Unfortunately I see her using it as an electronic notebook. I think the problem is that the teachers themselves do not know how to do many of the things we have learned so far in class or are unsure of how to weave them into their curriculum. I hope as her teachers become more familiar with using the Chrome books the students will get to use these great tools we have learned. The most extensive thing my daughter has done on her Chrome Book is a Google Document. I can not wait to become a teacher and show the students all of these awesome tools, although they probably have used some of them on their own. I think as a result of using these tools I am much more confident in my computer skills it still takes me a bit longer perhaps but speed will come with practice. Thank you for sharing all of these wonderful tools with us Dr. Cramer.

In general my answers remain the same as the above entries. I was able to incorporate technology into all of my lesson plans quite easily and they were all different technologies for the most part. Some were repeats as far as using google docs but all in all I really tried to use relevant technology that the students would be excited about. I really never thought about how to use technology in the classroom until this class and I am so glad that this class was a part of my education. I learned so many applicable new technologies that are all very unique. My future students will be so comfortable using technology that we as educators really need to use technology as well to engage our students.
