internet safety for middle school and high school
This poster from Common Sense Media is a great way to introduce the importance of posting images of yourself or other people. I could tie this into a lesson which shows a picture of a historical event that showed an image of someone in a poor way. For example I could show the clip of former President Ford tripping coming out of the airplane. This was the first time that a President was shown falling down or shown in an embarrassing way. The repercussions of this opened the door for all Presidents from now on to be mocked and have poor pictures of them displayed. To tie current digital image sharing in with this incident I would draw conclusions between the two that posting a non flattering picture of yourself or your friends might open the door for further ridicule.
digital citizenship for elementary school
This poster for digital citizenship is also on Common Sense Media. Although this does say that this is for elementary school I think this could be used for older students as well, there is really nothing overly childish here. I like the look of the conversation bubbles it reminds me of text bubbles. This is a simple contract to have the students sign prior to engaging in technology in the classroom especially if the teacher has a website or blog where the students post to.

digital citizenship
This poster is great from ictevalelist. it is simple and to the point laying out a nice acronym for the word THINK applied to digital sharing. I would display this in my room since I think it is worth having the students reminded of these simple rules often.
copy Write Rules from venspired.com
This is a great visual to help remind student that just because they could copy something does not mean that they own it or have the rights to use it. This could easily be posted on teachers website or put up in the class for the students to see. Prior to an assignment where they might run into some copy writing rules it would be helpful to refresh the rules with the students and this easy to read poster is a great way to revisit old information and perhaps teach new information. This website venspired.com is loaded with great posters of many different topics. Great resource for a teacher.
