Desktop publishing
Technokids Blog, linked here is all about how students can use desktop publishing in the classroom. They give examples and benefits of using this type of media for students. What I enjoy most about desktop publishing is that it incorporates visual learning and creating along with the text information.

using desktop publishing in the classroom
I think desktop publishing in the classroom is a wonderful tool that allows students to use technology and creativity at the same time. It is very easy to use and there is a great variety of projects that students could create. This is a way as a teacher we could assess their knowledge as well. I will definitely use this method in my future class since I think it is intuitive, there is no magical systems to learn it is very similar to creating a real document on a piece of paper. Once students learn the basic functions they are off and running and can create many different varieties of work.
