Articles about Electronic Assessment
This article from Education World lists the benefits of electronic assessment and the drawbacks of electronic assessment. Some of the major benefits found when using electronic assessments are the instant feedback for students of their test grade, this immediate feedback is also a time saver for teachers who do not need to spend precious time grading tests, and for teachers who struggle to integrate technology into their curriculum this is an easy way to use technology to meet your standards requirements. A few of the drawbacks this article mentioned is that electronic assessments could cause confidentiality problems since students could potentially work together to complete an assessment. Another issue that Education World sees with electronic assessment is that these types of assessments are rigid in their excepted responses.

Google Assessment
socrative.com Quiz site
This site allows a teacher to make different types of quizzes for the students with immediate results that can be viewed multiple different ways including PDF, chart, or even straight to your Google Drive. This was very easy to set up but unfortunately there is not an embed option but logging on for students is easy enough they just need to input teacher classroom number once connected to the site. There are two links below showing both the student and the teacher side of the site.

Infuse learning website
This website is great for those visual learners, English Language Learners, or students who have difficulty speaking due to a disability or shyness. The site offers the same quiz option as other sites but also offers a drawing sections that students can draw and quickly upload picture. Fantastic communication option that I can see for multiple classes and ages.

This is a drawing I made for a response to a question. I made question on laptop, opened my ipad and connected to the room id number listed and drew a picture for a response, clicked on upload button and it appears on teachers screen. This was so easy I think lower elementary school students would have no problems completing this.
poll everywhere website
This is the Poll Everywhere poll I created. I have used this in the past in an college class as a student. I had difficultly in the class with my responses always working and I had the same problem today setting this up. I am not sure if this is a phone problem on my end or a system problem on their end. I do like the system but not as much as others out there. This is what the screen would look like for my students, I changed the theme so it was a little different than the traditional screen which is black and white and I also included the links below just in case the numbers did not work.
How would my students use this
I would definitely use these different ways of assessment in my classroom. I would use them for assessment but also for encouraging communication within the classroom and outside the classroom. I think this is a great way to use the new technology items that are now present in the classroom since most schools are going to a 1:1 ratio of technology to students. As educators we need to stay tuned into different ways to connect to the younger generation that uses technology as a major way to communicate.
